Downe Hospital is an excellent hospital with wonderful staff. It is a valuable asset to the local and wider area. It must be allocated more resources to allow it fully utilise to its potential.
Great Hospital, great staff. This Hospital needs to be made more use off . It is needed in the area.
This hospital is a complete disgrace kept waiting for ages because the doctor can't do his job properly to then be sent to the royal to sit for hours on end
Strange location - middle of nowhere! But guess that is where they could get the land for something this size. The building & facilities are very new still. The staff were great - thankfully no experience of staying or anything serious. But these places are all about the staff. Those we met were great. The parking was free ( but they have the barriers in to make it paid in the future ). The coffee shop was pretty weak - there was sandwiches & some hot food. Canteen staff were missing in action.
My mum waited 7 hours to get a bed on a ward, but the staff were lovely. Dr Ward was polite and informative.Just a shame about the wait
