Lovely place with great atmosphere, with great food and staff
Staff are lovely, always present and always care. atmosphere lively, food is pub grub. Never any trouble. When we have friends visiting we always go here as nothing is a bother to William, Shane or the rest of the kindly staff
Nice food and atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Reasonably priced as well.
Wasnt terribly impressive. The staff were good but appeared to have to attend the restaurant and a very noisy and busy function in another room. Each time the door opened there was a 30 second blast of very loud music which completely interrupted conversations. This is unacceptable if you are paying for a restaurant meal. I found the menu limited compared to their close competition. I was forced to my personal last resort and had a burger. This was adequate but certainly not impressive.Its a very old venue and historic, however, for the prices charged, there are much better options around Downpatrick.I personally will not be in a hurry to return and would probably not bother if all other players were booked up.
We loved staying here. The rooms were simply amazing. The food at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The bartender and manager were great. Thus was an historic building. It was amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer.
