Beautiful experience.

Very kind family. Confortable rooms.,delicious and complete Irish breakfast

We were doing a driving tour of Ireland and NI for 2 weeks and my husband and I were mostly camping to save money. However on the day we got to Downpatrick it was blowing a gale and raining and we just didn't fancy trying to put up a tent in the weather. We booked Number Nine very last minute and we are SO glad we did. It's by far our favourite place, mostly down to the owners who were just so kind and helpful. Which other BnB owner would offer to drive you into town for food so you wouldn't have to walk in the rain or pay for parking? Who else would not just cook you breakfast for no extra charge, but also wait on you hand and foot while you eat and offer up some great conversation? Well these guys did. Not only that but the rooms themselves are really lovely, with bathrobes and slippers included alongside the standard teas and coffees. There were also some taste muffins ready for us which was a nice touch. The room also had a hairdryer, loads of closet space and a ton of different shower gels and shampoos to choose from. And the comfiest beds we came across! The bathroom, although shared with one other room, was immaculate and the shower was by far the best we had on the trip. In terms of location it is perfectly situated if you are exploring Downpatrick, but also if you are going a little further our to Castle Ward (Winterfell!) or Castlewellan Forest Park as we were.I can't recommend this lovely home and its wonderful hosts enough. Perfect.

Hospitality above and beyond. My friend and i had a twin room. Clean, lovely bedding, plenty of tea, coffee and water. Huge shower. beautiful garden. Huge continental and cooked breakfast. I want to go back but will have to find an excuse. Karen (Whaley Bridge)

The owners were so welcoming and accommodating. They took good care of us during our trip to Northern Ireland. They picked us up from the station and made sure we got to our excursions with ease. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The town was friendly and beautiful. I felt as if I was with family during the whole experience. They made sure we knew how to get around Northern Ireland and also took us to some Game of Thrones sites (once they heard how we were fans). They even dropped us off at Winterfell and picked us up after our tour. The location was ideal and steps away from local pubs, shopping, and grocery stores. Our trip to Northern Ireland was amazing thanks to the owners at Number Nine B&B.
